Sunday Night Primetime football under the lights in Foxborough, Massachusetts, NFC leading San Francisco 49ers againt AFC leading New England Patriots. What else could football fans asked for? The game itself lived up to its hype and expectations needing overtime to settle the score.
Coach Mike Nguyen had this to say, ” It was a big win for us, I’m proud of the way our guys just never gave up. There’s a lot of fight and guts on this team, we tend to fall behind but it amazes me how we have that “switch” that we seem to turn on when we needed it. They jumped on us early, I think it was 14-3 going into halftime. It was something like 24-10 going into the 4th quarter. I don’t think anybody in that stadium believed we would’ve pulled it out.”
Peyton Manning is just thankful for this defense,”You know I owe these guys a couple of dinners for the horrible situation I’ve been putting them in. My three INT’s basically gave New England 3 easy scores they would convert. Other than that they did a terrific job of holding this high octane offense to just 172 yards of total offense.”
Both coaches would agree that this is just 1 game, they didn’t win anything here. I would expect both of them to have their eyes on the bigger prize. This instant classic will be available to be viewed on the 2kolf Network soon, so stay tuned!
