PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Philadelphia Eagles extended their undefeated streak to 3-0 with a commanding 27-10 victory over the Atlanta Falcons at Lincoln Financial Field. Behind a stellar performance from quarterback Jalen Hurts and a stifling defensive effort, the Eagles asserted themselves as one of the top teams in the NFC.

Game Recap

The Eagles dominated in all three phases of the game. Hurts showcased his dual-threat ability, completing 29 of 35 passes for 246 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 54 yards on four carries. His connection with DeVonta Smith proved vital, as Smith hauled in nine receptions for 66 yards and two scores. Tight end Dallas Goedert added 96 receiving yards on seven catches, consistently moving the chains for Philadelphia.

On the ground, Saquon Barkley contributed 49 yards on 15 carries, while Tyrion Davis-Price added a short-yardage touchdown.

Defensively, the Eagles were relentless, holding the Falcons to just 145 passing yards and forcing a key interception. Defensive end Josh Sweat tallied a sack, and safety Reed Blankenship grabbed a crucial interception to snuff out a promising Falcons drive.

The Falcons struggled to find consistency on offense. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr threw for 145 yards and two touchdowns but completed just 39% of his passes. Running back Bijan Robinson was the lone bright spot, rushing for 78 yards on 10 carries and adding a receiving touchdown. Wide receiver Drake London contributed a highlight-reel 34-yard touchdown reception.

“We have to clean up our execution,” said Falcons head coach Chuck Davis. “We didn’t do enough to help ourselves against a tough team like Philadelphia.”

Key Stats

Philadelphia’s offense shone, led by Hurts’ precision passing and the versatility of Barkley and Davis-Price in the ground game. Smith’s two touchdowns and Goedert’s impact in the passing game kept Atlanta’s defense on its heels. Defensively, the Eagles held the Falcons to just 10 points and capitalized on key mistakes.

For Atlanta, Penix Jr’s inaccuracy and the team’s inability to sustain drives proved costly. Robinson’s strong showing on the ground and London’s explosive play provided some hope, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Eagles’ balanced attack.

Injuries

No injuries were reported for either team following the game.

Up Next

The Eagles (3-0) will remain at home to face the Washington Commanders, their second matchup in three weeks. Meanwhile, the Falcons (1-2) return to Atlanta to host the New Orleans Saints in a critical divisional showdown.
