Arlington, TX — The Dallas Cowboys took to the practice field on Friday in preparation for their upcoming game against the Tennessee Titans.
Last week the Cowboys lost to the San Francisco 49ers in heart breaking fashion. Cowboys coach Andres Perez seemed to be in good spirits despite the loss and felt good about his team going into their week 2 match-up – “Well now that we’re a couple of days separated from that and after taking a look at the tape, we saw a lot of good things from our defense and offense. Saw where we need to improve and what we need to do to make sure we don’t end up in the same situation as last week.” said coach Perez following his team’s practice.
The Cowboys had zero touchdowns against the 49ers, something the Cowboys know they have to address. “That’s not just on the players, that’s on me and the rest of the coaching staff. Our game-plan needs to change and we need to take some more risk when we’re down in the red zone.” said coach Perez.
We asked Tony Romo how he felt about the loss and what he thinks he needs to do to ensure success in Tennessee. “I’m not thinking about it too much. I sat down and watched the tape and even though I made that mistake in the end, there was plenty of other areas that I need to improve on, not just for the upcoming game we have this week, but for the rest of the season”. The Cowboys better hope Romo does improve, last season was his worst as a Cowboys after having a stellar season 3 in the league. Romo was third in interceptions with 31 and led the league in QB fumbles with 8.
If the Cowboys want to make the playoffs this season they better avoid the terrible start they had last season when they lost their first two games of the season and had a record of 4-4 mid way through the season. A record like that again this year, will not cut it.
