CHICAGO, IL - The Chicago Bears kept rolling with a dominant 45-23 win over the New Orleans Saints, as Caleb Williams threw for six touchdowns to pull Mark Miller's team back to 3-3 and extend their winning streak to two games. Kellen Moore's Saints, who entered on a two-game win streak, fell to 4-3.
Williams and Odunze light up Soldier Field
Williams delivered another masterclass, completing 27 of 45 passes for 383 yards and six touchdowns despite two interceptions. His connection with Rome Odunze was unstoppable-Odunze hauled in 11 receptions for 212 yards and three touchdowns, including a 50-yard bomb late in the first quarter.
"We're really starting to find our rhythm," Williams said. "When Rome's out there, I just trust him to make plays. It doesn't matter the coverage."
Odunze added, "Caleb kept giving me chances, and I just wanted to reward that trust. This offense feels like it's hitting its stride."
Saints show flashes under new coach Kellen Moore
In his first season as head coach, Kellen Moore's Saints showed brief moments of promise. Quarterback Spencer Rattler threw for 232 yards and one touchdown, connecting with Juwan Johnson late in the fourth quarter. However, turnovers proved costly-Rattler was picked off once, and the Saints’ defense struggled to contain Chicago's high-powered attack.
Moore remained optimistic despite the loss. "You never want to get blown out, but we're learning who we are," he said. "We've got young guys figuring things out, and that's part of the process."
Chicago's defense holds firm
The Bears' defense added to the statement win with timely takeaways and steady pressure. T.J. Edwards led the charge with five tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble. Kyler Gordon snagged a key interception, while Montez Sweat and Dayo Odeyingbo each recorded sacks.
Coach Mark Miller praised his team's composure: "We played with confidence on both sides of the ball. I love how our defense responded after giving up that pick-six. That's the kind of resiliency that wins games in this league."
