SEATTLE, WA — The San Francisco 49ers continued their dominance over the NFC West, defeating the Seattle Seahawks 25-10 at Lumen Field to remain undefeated in Week 3. Behind a suffocating defense and steady offensive performance, head coach Jeffrey Jarin’s squad reaffirmed their position atop the division, while Seattle struggled to find consistency.
Game Recap
Seattle drew first blood in the opening quarter with rookie quarterback Tanner Pittman connecting on a beautiful 43-yard strike to tight end Noah Fant, giving the Seahawks a brief 7-0 lead. However, the 49ers defense adjusted quickly, applying relentless pressure and shutting down Seattle’s offense the rest of the way.
San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy orchestrated a strong second quarter, throwing a 3-yard touchdown to Brandon Aiyuk and leading two drives that resulted in field goals by Jake Moody. Seattle kicker Jason Myers hit a 54-yarder to keep it close at halftime, but the 49ers entered the break with a 10-7 lead.
The second half belonged entirely to San Francisco. Purdy found Christian McCaffrey for a 15-yard score in the third quarter, and the 49ers defense made their presence known, sacking Pittman six times. Moody added two more field goals in the fourth, and Aiyuk capped off the win with a 7-yard touchdown catch.
