Kansas City, MO — It was never a question if the Kansas City Chiefs would sign star QB Patrick Mahomes, it was a question of when, and how much. It looks like we finally have that answer as the Chiefs have gone all-in on Mahomes, signing him to a record-breaking deal a 7-year deal worth 129.15 million with an astounding signing bonus worth 155.45 million. “I’m excited to have an opportunity to prove my worth and bring a title to the wonderful city of Kansas City, it feels great to know that everyone has the faith in my talents to give me such a contract offer. Now that this is behind me I can fully focus on giving my all and getting us to where we need to be!”
The Chiefs announced the signing before the game vs. division rival Denver Broncos so Mahomes will certainly have the opportunity to show his worth, perhaps last week the contract talks were on his mind, as he turned in a poor performance and threw 5 interceptions in a losing effort and wasted a strong defensive effort. “I think it’ll be good for him and the team to have this deal done and now we can just go out there and play ball.” coach Miller had to say “He certainly has proven that he is worth that kind of money with some of the plays he can make with not only his arm but his legs as well. Just an all-around great play and leader of this team.”
Daaaamn somebody got paid! He deserves it though. Just make sure to keep him healthy!
He is a must sign. There was no way the Chiefs could let him go. Great job!
No brainer signing!
