New Orleans, LA — There is no doubt that the New Orleans Saints window for another championship is closing.  As Drew Brees winds down his sensational career the Saints have continued to bet the farm on winning now. Drafting Erik McCoy in the second round to replace Max Unger at center figures to play a key role in this seasons success.

Before Unger left the Saints, he had been a staple of the Saints O-line ever since the Saints traded Jimmy Graham for him.  Unger had anchored the line at center and was excellent at calling out adjustments, identifying blitzes and defensive schemes.  He helped to keep the pocket clean and the passing lanes open.  It is unknown how McCoy will adjust in the league but the Saints are counting on the second round pick to start from day one and to keep the stellar Saints O-line humming.
