The Bills take on the Titans as both teams get set for the new seasonBuffalo, NY — The Buffalo Bills looked great during the preseason as they finished with a record of 4-0 and are hopeful that success will continue in the regular season. The Bills will be taking on the Tennessee Titans to open up the season. This will be the 4th time in league history that these two clubs have met in the regular season. The last time these two clubs met was in week five of season 6. The Titans defeated the Bills in that one for the first time by a score of 17-20.

“Yeah it’s been a while since these two teams met. I wasn’t here then and most of these guys weren’t either. In the end it doesn’t matter though, I know you guys take a look at all that.” coach Sean McDermott said. “What I am focused on is getting these guys ready for what will be a tough opponent.”

When asked if his team has extra motivation since the Titans eliminated the Bills from playoff contention last season he smiled and said “Yeah, you know a lot of the guys were watching that game last season where had they lost, we would of been in. But, it really was our fault and no one else. We put ourselves in a situation where our playoff lives were in someone else’s hands. We definitely want to avoid that this season and it starts by getting ready, having good practices and executing what we practice.”

The Bills first five games will more than likely dictate what type of season they will have as three of the five games will be against teams that made the playoffs last season. In week 1 it’s the Titans, then in week 3 they take on the Green Bay Packers, and finally week 5 they take on another NFC North opponent, the Detroit Lions.

Last season the Bills went 2-3 in their first five games, if they are to have success this season they’ll want to, at the minimum, reverse that record or better it.
