Check out the Raiders latest injury reportOakland, CA — The Oakland Raiders have done well throughout this season despite the injuries but with the regular season coming to a close and first place in the division at stake, injuries may hurt the Raiders.

The Raiders are without their team captain and leader, quarterback Derek Carr who is out with a broken collarbone and will return at the beginning of the playoffs. Former third stringer, E.J. Manuel, will be starting in this week’s prime match-up against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Raiders are also without starting running back Marshawn Lynch who suffered his second injury of this season with hamstring issues; he should return in two weeks. Another notable and most recent injury comes from starting corner back Sean Smith who is sidelined with a shoulder tear and is not due to return until the playoffs.

When asked about the next few weeks, Coach Max Farias had this to say, “It is critical for us to take each game one at a time and execute. Ultimately winning the division is our goal because that will guarantee us playoff position but we also are in the battle to earn a bye week as well. We could use that bye in order to get an extra week to heal our guys and get ready for our opponent but we’ll worry about that when that time comes; we have to focus on our opponent and that is K.C.”
